This gorgeous rustic ginger jar dates from around 1870 and has a lovely patina showing signs of a previous life which adds to its charm.   They were used to import ginger from Asia and would have come with a sealed lid.  They are so versatile; you can use them for a nice bunch of flowers or even your toothbrush.  Either way, you’re not going to get an identical one as each one is unique which makes them rather special…
