We love Victorian paste pots, especially when re-purposed into soya wax candles. This one has the words “Shippam’s High Class Potted Meat, Chichester” on the front.  It is a lovely piece of history and if you love English advertising pots then this will fit in with your collection.  It is beautifully crazed which only age and wear can produce.  Although it does have a chip on the top rim, it does not detract from its character.

The pot will make a cute little container once the candle has finished; use for your teabags in the kitchen or jewellery in the bedroom; the list is endless…
