This vintage floral original watercolour is beautifully painted; the colours are really rustic.  It has so much attention to detail, even down to the face of the little toby jug; he’s just so sweet.  Signed by the artist in September 1949; can you imagine him or her sitting wiling the time away painting this lovely arrangement; it is very pretty indeed.  The painting has been framed in an unusual frame which has a textured finish but it would look equally lovely unframed and left standing alone.  Frameless paintings are now becoming very popular giving them a more rustic look so either way, it will look beautiful and perfect for the time of year as the autumnal colours are beginning to creep in…
